Space for everything
Unlike most competitors, the IK-312MB has kept the floor height on 3 steps level in order to provide a larger luggage compartment (5 m3) and more comfort for passengers who sit above the wheels. Also, above the seats there are luggage racks (luggage shelves / galleries) which specially designed in Italy for the IK-312MB. The driver and other crew member (tour guide or driver's assistant, co-driver…) have at their disposal several compartments to store accessories and luggage, as well as a separate compartment behind the first door.

Comfort for the class more
In addition to the already standard system ECAS (Electronically Controlled Air Suspension), comfort is further influenced by sitting height, as well as by comfortable and nicely designed SEGE seats with adjustable backrest. As part of the standard comfort package for each seat, a service set is positioned overhead. Each passenger has a built-in reading light, adjustable air vents, speakers and service buttons.

In standard version all glasses are tinted and by customer's request they can be double for better thermal insulation. The bus is equipped with electrically operated roof hatches and air condition with a roof heating option. Also, the driver has its own air conditioning system with independent control.
Within the offer is an audio-video system with two foldable 19" LCD monitors and speakers above each seat. For the driver and tour guide a microphone is provided.
Advanced electronic safety systems
In addition to high comfort, high safety is also needed. The bus is equipped with advanced active safety systems like LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System), AEBS (Advanced Emergency Braking System), as well as with ESP (Electronic Stability Program). For the greater comfort in the ride there is also a cruise control (tempomat).
Contemporary powertrain
The bus is powered by Mercedes-Benz engine with 7.7 liters displacement and 220 kW (299 hp) rated output power. This engine meets Euro 6 emission standard. It owns a turbocharger and a modern injection system Common Rail, what gives good performances regarding the engine power, fuel consumption and exhaust emission. For exhaust gas aftertreatment the Selective catalytic reduction system (SCR) is used, which implies reagent use (AdBlue). Engine is paired with 6-speed manual transmission with integrated retarder. Maximum speed is electronically limited to 100 km/h.

Modern construction for a longer lifetime
On customer's request, the body structure can be made from regular or ferrite steel beams, and with additional anticorrosion protection, of course. Glazing and side panels are glued onto the body, and made out of various high-quality materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, polyester, etc. Side panels are made of aluminium sections, while the roof panel is made from one piece pecolite. Stainless steel is used to cover the gap between windows and roof, while front and rear walls are made out of polyester.
